Walk-in-Interview on 27 Sept 2023 for “Aspirational Block Fellow” post – District Collector Office, Kondagaon

NITI Aayog is conducting a walk-in-Interview on 27 September 2023 at 10 AM at the District Collector’s Office, Kondagaon for the post of Aspirational Block Fellow. NITI Aayog released an advertisement through the date 25-08-2023, to promote works like health, nutrition, education, agriculture, water resources, financial inclusion, and basic works in the development block of Kondagaon district.

There is only 1 post of Aspiring Block Fellow in which local residents of Chhattisgarh state are eligible to submit the application in the prescribed format.

About the Aspirational Block Programme

The Aspirational Blocks Programme is a nationwide program that focuses on improving governance to enhance the quality of life of citizens in the most difficult and underdeveloped blocks of India by converging existing schemes, defining outcomes, and monitoring them on a constant basis. It was launched on 7th January 2023 by the Government of India and is anchored by NITI Aayog. The programme covers 500 blocks across 27 States and 4 Union Territories.

About the Role of Aspirational Blocks Fellows

The deployment of Aspirational Block (AB) Fellows is a strategic move to bolster the impact of the Aspirational Blocks Program by harnessing the energy, talent, and passion of young fellows from reputed institutions towards achieving its goals of inclusive growth, community empowerment, and building a prosperous India for all.

The AB Fellows will work closely with Block level Officials and under the overall guidance of the District Collector, Kondagaon, and CEO – ZP to develop strategies for accelerated implementation of ABP thematic areas, facilitate effective monitoring and planning, and conduct field visits to ensure that the interventions are responsive to people’s needs and demands.

Key Responsibilities of Aspirational Blocks Fellows:

The Aspirational Blocks Fellows will be positioned as a critical link between the Block level Officials and NITI Aayog. Their primary responsibilities will include:

  • Collaborating with Block level Officials to design and execute development strategies aligned with ABP thematic areas.
  • Conducting regular Field visits to assess project implementation, address challenges, and collect ground-level insights.
  • Analyzing data and providing evidence-based recommendations to BLOS, District level Officials to optimize developmental initiatives.
  • Organizing workshops, awareness campaigns, and skill-building programs to empower the local community.
  • Keeping States and NITI Aayog abreast with the issues, challenges, and need for support.
  • Support in any other work assigned by the District Administration, Kondagaon.

Qualifications

  • Post Graduate in any discipline from a reputed institution
  • Should possess data analysis and presentation skills
  • Should be conversant with the use of social media
  • Should possess Project Management Skills
  • Experience working/internship with a Development Organisation
  • Self-driven with good communication skills.
  • Can read, write, and speak Hindi & English

Experience

Minimum 2 years of experience working with a government institution or in a district

Note: Preference will be given to candidates who have completed their higher education in the development/rural stream.

Note: The candidate should stay at the block headquarters

Job Duration

Initially, this recruitment will be for 03 months from the date of order. On satisfactory work again extension can be done. The tenure of Aspirational Block Fellows will initially be one (01) year as per NITI guidelines. (This may or may not be extended).

Expected Compensation

Each fellow will receive a monthly stipend of Rs 55,000 (inclusive of travel allowance) as a token of appreciation for their dedicated service and valuable contributions to the Aspirational Blocks Program.
