Bhumi is seeking candidates for the role of placement officer. This job is for the location Chennai. The Placement Officer is responsible for the successful placement of students trained through Bhumi’s Skill-ed program in appropriate positions within the job market. They must identify and secure job opportunities for students, create career development opportunities, and maintain relationships with employers.
Primary Role and Responsibilities
- Identify and approach potential IT companies interested in recruiting from tier 2 and 3 city colleges.
- Cultivate strong relationships with local and national IT companies, emphasizing the benefits of recruiting from diverse talent pools.
- Work closely with students to understand their career goals and aspirations, guiding them toward suitable employment opportunities.
- Organize placement drives, job fairs, and industry-specific events to connect students with potential employers.
- Conduct pre-placement training, resume building workshops, and mock interviews to enhance students’ employability.
- Provide regular reports to the management team, showcasing placement statistics, successes, and areas for improvement.
- Conduct market research to identify emerging sectors and job roles, facilitating proactive student training programs.
- Plan and coordinate placement events, ensuring seamless interactions between students and corporate representatives.
- Organize guest lectures, industry panels, and networking sessions to bridge the gap between academia and industry.
Preferred Education Qualification
- Graduation / Post-Graduation.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in working with top institutions/ colleges/companies as a placement officer.
- Proven experience in talent acquisition, or placement services, preferably in tier 2 and 3 cities.
- Strong networking skills and the ability to engage with diverse stakeholders, including corporate leaders and educational institutions.
- Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, both written and verbal.
- Understanding of the challenges faced by tier 2 and 3 city colleges in employment placement.
Salary
The salary of placement officer at Bhumi would range between 6 to 8 LPA.
