Shiksharth, a not-for-profit educational organization is seeking candidates for the post of Operations Manager. You’ll lead and scale an exceptional, contextually relevant education and child support model. You will be a partner and collaborate closely with the Head of Operations and core team to define and implement the programs at scale. You will be co-managing and mentoring a team of 40 passionate team members committed to serving the cause.
About Shiksharth
Shiksharth is a not-for-profit educational organisation designing and implementing contextualised comprehensive education solutions for children from spaces of conflict and adversity by strengthening pedagogy, systems and community in an integrated approach. Currently, we are based out of Sukma, Chhattisgarh in Central India which is a tribal region suffering from 4 decades of armed conflict because of left-wing extremism.
What You’ll Do & Desired Impact
The key responsibilities of this position’s key focus areas are:
- Responsible for overseeing the implementation of the Shiksharth’s Products in the supported schools and districts to the required targets
- Improve operational management systems, processes and best practices
- Formulate strategic and operational objectives
- Manage budgets and forecasts
- Experience in leading teams.
- Experience teaching in elementary classrooms and/or teaching trainers/teachers.
- Ability to lead impact-focused education programs, product management experience is a plus
- Coordinate with staff in scheduling and managing programmatic events and activities.
- Conscious leadership skills like communication, growth mindset, emotional intelligence, strategic thinking, decision-making, motivating others, and delegation
You will contribute towards achieving the following goals:
- Creation of key products ( mentioned above ) at Shiksharth that will help us serve children beyond Sukma.
- Building the org culture
- Serving 10 lakh children by 2025
- Forming a collective of organizations working in adverse geographies.

Required Experience
Min 1-3 Years of Work experience in the Government/Public Education System
Qualification
Preferred candidates with a Master’s in relevant fields
Salary
The salary of Operations Manager at Shiksharth will range between 4,20,000 to 5,00,000 CTC.
