About the Role
The Program Manager will oversee a multi-disciplinary team and work collaboratively with senior leadership to design, execute, and scale this program. The role requires expertise in project management, strategy, operations, and program design.
This is a three-year project requiring in-depth ground implementation, and applicants are encouraged to apply only if they are passionate about working in an aspirational district to create meaningful, long-term impact.
Responsibilities
- Program Leadership and Strategy:
- Lead the design and implementation of the Project-Based Learning (PBL) program for middle schools across Sukma District.
- Work closely with the Head of Operations and Head of Product to align the program with Shiksharth’s long-term strategy and product design goals.
- Develop and implement a roadmap for scaling the program across the district, with a focus on sustainability and impact.
- Manage day-to-day program operations, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and program goals.
- Supervise a team comprising:
- Operations Lead, Program Lead, Training and Development Lead, 3 Action Researchers, 2 Content Experts, Monitoring and Evaluation Lead
- Provide guidance and oversight to ensure team goals and deliverables are met efficiently.
- Conduct regular team meetings to review progress, address challenges, and provide professional development opportunities.
- Monitoring and Evaluation:
- Establish robust monitoring frameworks in collaboration with Monitoring and Evaluation Lead to measure program effectiveness and teacher performance.
- Analyze data and feedback to identify areas for improvement and make data-driven decisions.
- Stakeholder Management
- Build and maintain relationships with local government bodies (SCERT, district authorities), school leadership, and community stakeholders to ensure program success.
- Act as the primary point of contact for program-related queries and reporting.

Requirements
- Experience in designing, implementing, and executing M&E systems, including indicator selection, target setting, tool development, data collection, reporting and database management.
- Knowledge of the significant monitoring and evaluation, data collection and analysis methodologies, including building impact maps, theory of change documents and social audits
- Experience in designing and conducting qualitative research, including but not limited to facilitating focus group discussions, analysing insights from in-depth interviews, surveys, and questionnaires, and using observation-based tools to gather deeper insights
- Capacity to synthesise monitoring data into a compelling presentation of results to help guide recommendations on the improvement of programs and curriculum
