About Azim Premji University Foundation
The aim of the Aji, Premji Foundation is building a network of universities to contribute to capacity development and research for the social sector. The first Azim Premji University was set up in Bengaluru in 2010. Today it operates from a 110-acre campus. The Universities are entirely philanthropic; currently, 89 percent of the expenditure is borne by the Foundation. Currently, about 60 percent of students are on scholarships offered by the University.

Qualification and Experience:
- Master’s degree in Economics; Final year students can apply, If expected completion is April 2025).
- Knowledge of statistical software such as STATA or R is essential. Familiarity with a programming language such as Python is desirable.
- Experience in working with economic datasets such as the PLFS/NSS, IHDS etc is desirable.
- Familiarity with the principal problems and the structure of the Indian economy, particularly with respect to its labour market is desired.
