AYF Fellowship Themes

The AYF Fellowship has decided three main themes for this year fellowship activity and that are:

Eligibility Criteria

To be considered for the AYF Fellowship Program, applicants must meet the following eligibility criteria:

  • Indian citizenship
  • Must be between 24-30
  • Completion of a bachelor’s degree from a recognized university
  • Must have an English Proficiency of TOEIC 800 or equivalent for non-native speakers (Fluency in both spoken and written)
  • Japanese language skill (JLPT N1- N3) preferable
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • A demonstrated interest in community engagement and sustainable development
  • The ability to adapt to a multicultural environment
  • You should possess flexibility, persistence, and toughness
  • Potential to turn the ideas into action

Fellowship Benefits

Selected fellows will receive numerous benefits as part of the AYF Fellowship Program, including:

a. Stipend

Fellows will receive a monthly stipend to cover their living expenses during the program.

  • Monthly Salary (Base salary + Overtime)
  • Taxes, insurance fees & Japanese class fees, and pension would be deducted

b. Accommodation

Housing facilities will be provided on the island of Awaji, offering a comfortable and convenient living environment.

Individual rooms, either in western style or Japanese style will be provided

Utility costs like electricity and Wi-Fi will also be included

c. Mentorship

To serve as a resource and personal mentor during the year, each fellow will be given an assigned mentor from the AYF Secretariat team, who are all AYF Alumni. A mentor with expertise from Pasona will be appointed to any fresh initiatives that gain traction to help them develop.

d. Projects

In order to drive and achieve results for AYF and the Pasona Group across numerous main areas, participants in the AYF Fellowship will be expected to support, develop, and create initiatives. This will entail developing fresh health, inbound tourism, cultural events, and sustaining established ones.

e. Special Lectures

Fellows will receive multiple lectures from eminent experts like entrepreneurs, international thought leaders, representatives from the United Nations and key Pasona stakeholders that are driving the new initiatives in Awaji. Aiming to both intellectually stimulate Fellows and inspire them on their path to self-development, lectures will be prepared and constructed to connect to other aspects of the Fellowship.

f. Professional Development

Fellows will have access to a wide range of workshops, training sessions, and mentorship opportunities to enhance their professional skills.

  • 5 days a week of learning and working with senior members
  • 10 days of paid leave available 6 months into the Fellowship program

g. Networking Opportunities

The fellowship program connects participants with a diverse network of international professionals, providing valuable opportunities for collaboration and career growth.

h. Cultural Immersion

Fellows will have the chance to experience Japanese culture firsthand through various cultural activities and events.

I. Community Engagement

Fellows will work on community projects that contribute to the sustainable development of Awaji Island, enabling them to make a positive impact on the local community.

J. Meals (Working Days only)

Even though Fellows are in charge of providing their food, Pasona is able to provide reduced lunches. The Federation cannot promise that these meals will satisfy all dietary requirements.
