Centre For Materials For Electronics Technology (C-MET) is conducting Walk-in Interview for the positions: Research Associate, Project Fellow, and Project Assistant. The recruitment is purely on temporary basis.
About C-MET
C-MET is an autonomous scientific society under Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology (MeitY), Govt. of India. It conducts research and development in electronic materials.
About the Positions
The selected candidate will work under MeitY sponsored project entitled “Informal Sector Capacity Building Upgradation with formation of recycling clusters under MSME scheme and Enabling Technology for Recovery of Resources from Electronic Waste thereby Promoting Resource Efficiency and Circular Economy”.
1.Position- Research Associate
Number of Position– 1
Education Qualifications
Essential
First class (60%) masters degree in Engineering – Metallurgy/ Chemical Engineering/Mechanical/ Electrical/ Electronics/ E-Waste resource engineering & management from a recognized university with 3 years research experience in e-waste management/ recycling/ skilling/ training/ informal upgradation/cluster formation
OR
Doctoral degree in chemistry/chemical engineering/ metallurgy/physics/ environmental science.
Desirable
Experience in e-waste management /recycling / skilling/ content development/informal upgradation/cluster formation/ establishment of facilities /chemical processing / urban mining/ production.
Age
It should not exceed 35 years as on date of walk-in interview.
Responsibilities
- The selected candidate has to lead a team of project fellows and project assistants.
- He has to absorb the recycling technologies; disseminate to informal clusters and train the accelerators.
- It is the responsibility of the Research Associate to establish links with project implementing agencies, ministry, project team and informal clusters.
Salary
The salary of Research Associate at C-MET is Rs. 79,300 PM (Rs.61,000 + 30% HRA)

2.Position- Project Fellow
Number of Position– 4
Educational Qualifications
Essential :
M. Sc. With first class in Physics /Chemistry /Materials Science
OR
B.Tech. / BE with First Class in metallurgy/chemical engineering /instrumentation /environmental / mechanical engineering
OR
M Tech with first class in e-Waste resource Engineering management.
Desirable :
Experience in the area of e-waste recycling, materials processing, extractive metallurgy of non ferrous metals, process automation, pollution control, assaying, characterization.
Age
It should not exceed 28 years as on date of walk-in interview.
Responsibilities
- Selected candidate has to conduct experiments in laboratory, pilot plant and also in the recycling industries when deputed.
- He/she has to generate data, report to supervisors during experiments and pilot plant trials.
- He/she has to strictly adhere to safety requirements.
Salary
The salary of Project Fellow is Rs. 40,300 PM (Rs. 31,000 + 30% HRA).

3. Position- Project Assistant

Essential :
First class (60%) in B.Sc. Physics/ chemistry or Diploma in metallurgy/ chemical/ mechanical / electronics / electrical Engineering.
Desirable :
Experience in research and development lab or industry.
Responsibilities
- Selected candidate has to conduct experiments in laboratory, pilot plant and also in the recycling industries when deputed.
- He/she has to generate data, report to supervisors during experiments and pilot plant trials.
- He/she has to strictly adhere to safety requirements.
Salary
The salary of Project Assistant at C-MET is Rs. 26,000 PM (Rs. 20,000 + 30% HRA).

Important Information
- Candidates are expected to bring their application in the prescribed format and produce an original educational mark sheet & cast certificate, etc., at the time of screening.
- In case the certificates/mark sheets etc. have not been collected from colleges/present employer etc., a custodian certificate from the respective authorities should invariably be produced to the Screening Committee at the time of verification of certificates, failing which the candidate will not be allowed to attend the interview.
- Persons selected for the above positions shall be ready to work on a three-shift basis, if required so.
