Carnegie India is inviting applications for a Senior Research Analyst/ Research Analyst to support its work on Digitial Public infrastructure. The candidate will also be expected to help curate and operationalize Carnegie India’s flagship conference, The Global Technology Summit (GTS)
The candidate should be available to start on September 1, 2023. The selected candidate will be a part of the Technology and Society Program at Carnegie India and will work closely with and report to the Director, of Carnegie India.
Responsibilities
The candidate will help spearhead Carnegie India’s work on digital public infrastructure.
Desired
- The candidate will be trained in DPI work at Carnegie India.
- Candidates do not necessarily need to have prior knowledge in the DPI space.
- What is needed is operational curiosity, intuition, and a willingness to learn.
- The position will require attention to technical and legal details.
- The candidate ought to have the ability to work with representatives from around the world thinking through DPI deployment and adoption.
- Most importantly, the candidates ought to have a willingness to learn about a relatively new policy ecosystem, work with those from across the world in thinking through the expansion of the DPI ecosystem, and help create new norms and institutional imperatives.
Requirements
- The selected candidate should have a post-graduate degree, preferably in either law, the social sciences, or technology policy
- Three to four years of work experience in the field of technology policy
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
- Possess the flexibility and enthusiasm to manage multiple tasks, work under pressure, and meet deadlines
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team to solve problems and complete tasks.
- Applicants with a proven interest and expertise in different aspects of digital public infrastructure will be given preference.
