Central Square Foundation is seeking a Project Consultant for its EdTech program. This job is for the location Shimla.

CSF is deeply committed to Early Childhood Education (ECE) reforms, recognising the critical role it plays in laying a strong groundwork for children’s learning journey, thereby augmenting FLN outcomes.
About the Position
- It is a 12-month consulting assignment as part of the CSF’s EdTech advisory team for this purpose.
- The consultant will be expected to support the execution of live projects and help start new projects by working closely with senior and junior officers in the department.
- They would glean insights by undertaking field visits, need to think through the program execution strategy for specific mini-projects, monitor EdTech programs for implementation effectiveness, and assist the department in planning & budgeting.
- They will work with the department to garner relevant information, analyze the public data and develop appropriate collateral.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide inputs to the department on planning and budgeting for future EdTech interventions in Himachal Pradesh.
- Support in the creation of procurement, allocation, and monitoring processes that would maximize the impact of proposed EdTech programs.
- Undertake school visits, Lead consultations with stakeholders to identify gaps and come up with practical solutions
- Analyze data and glean meaningful insights for appropriate program design in the area of EdTech. This would result in the creation of best practices for the successful implementation of existing and planned EdTech interventions in both in-school and at-home scenarios.
- Develop and maintain effective working relationships with senior and junior officers, partners, and CSF team members to drive project execution, under the supervision of the team lead
- Think through the details of program execution for well-defined mini-projects to drive the overall engagement forward
- Support in the integration of Edtech into the academic and administrative process of the education department
Required Qualifications, Skills and Abilities
Qualification
- Bachelor’s or equivalent degree required
- Optional: Masters’s degree or equivalent in relevant fields: including education, management, economics, social sciences, and public policy preferred
Experience
- 2 to 4 years of work experience with managerial responsibilities, demonstrating superb project delivery and team leadership
- Experience in managing multi-stakeholder projects
Skills
- Experience in managing multi-stakeholder projects
- Excellent research skills and the ability to analyze complex qualitative and quantitative data, craft possible solutions, and recommend actions
- Comfort with large scale data, its analysis and reporting as per the audience profile
- Ability to build and maintain positive and collaborative relationships both within and outside the organization, including with colleagues, schools, regulators, foundations, researchers, grantees, and education product/service providers
- Ability to lead meetings, deliver presentations, and represent CSF to external audiences
- Ability to work independently and proactively, without support staff and with little supervision
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, strong presentation skills
- Strong execution, planning, and organizational skills, and an ability to be able to set priorities, plan timelines and meet deadlines
- Knowledge of English and Hindi (Written and Verbal) is mandatory
- Skilled in data analytics software like Alteryx or R would be a plus
- Skills in data presentation software like Power BI and Tableau would be a plus
