IMHO is an open-access repository of data and information on mental health laws, policies, and services to promote evidence-based policy-making and bridge systemic gaps to advance mental health in India.
Qualifications and skills
Essential
- Master’s degree in Social Sciences, Law, Public Health, Public Policy, or allied disciplines
- At least 2 years of work experience in the fields of mental health, public health, law, and policy reform, social justice, and other allied fields
- Strong research skills in both qualitative and quantitative techniques
- Proficiency in written English – academic and policy writing
Desirable
- Prior experience in communication, advocacy, and network building
- Proficiency in Hindi (verbal and written)
Responsibilities
- Conduct research by collecting, collating, and analyzing existing data, metrics, and information on the mental health system in India
- Develop and disseminate research outputs and publications (annual reports, briefs, newsletters, white papers, etc.)
- Develop and maintain the IMHO website and data platforms
- Develop linkages and coordinate with civil society organizations, policymakers, and other stakeholders as part of the IMHO’s institutional mechanism for collaborative research
- Organise consultations and dissemination events at a national, state, and local level
