Centre for Mental Health Law & Policy is seeking candidate for the role of Project Manager to support the development of a Mental Health Careers Fellowship Program for graduates from Dalit, Bahujan and Adivasi (DBA) communities with a vision to increase representation across positions and leadership roles in the mental health and development sector.

About Project Manager

The Project Manager will be responsible for conducting a scoping exercise spanning five months to co-design the program with critical stakeholders from DBA communities. This will be followed by development and implementation of the program based on the collaborative inputs of stakeholders during the co-design process. 

Eligibility

Essential

  • Master’s degree in social sciences or other allied fields  
  • 2-3 years of work experience in implementing capacity building, education or fellowship programs for youth in the development sector 
  • Demonstrated experience of project and team management  
  • Ability to engage with multiple stakeholders  
  • Familiarity with qualitative research methodologies 
  • Willing to travel for program activities 
  • Fluent in English & Hindi (verbal/written)

Desirable

  • First generation learners or lived experience from Dalit, Bahujan & Adivasi communities  
  • Prior experience of working in mental health, public health or allied disciplines  
  • Proficiency in any other local language

Responsibilities

  • Program Implementation: Oversee daily execution of activities, timely delivery of outputs and coordination with team members. 
  • Stakeholder Coordination: Liaise and coordinate with stakeholders from DBA communities including civil society organisations, young people, collectives, researchers, academics, etc. for scoping activities. 
  • Scoping Activities: Conceptualise, organise and conduct scoping activities such as desk research, consultations, interviews including developing interview/discussion guides.  
  • Qualitative Research: Synthesise and analyse data from the scoping activities using qualitative methodologies to develop the fellowship program.  
  • Team Management: Work closely with Program Manager, internal team members and consultants to align implementation plans with the vision and objectives of the program and scoping exercise.
