About the internship
CSIP is currently at the ideation stage of the research project and are looking at research intern(s) to help us in the first phase of the project. it seeks to create a knowledge base on the effectiveness of philanthropic funding—how it is being
utilized and whether it is leading to meaningful change in people’s lives.
Responsibilities
The research intern will support the project by:
● Curating and analyzing existing online information related to philanthropic capital flow in India.
● Exploring the feasibility of creating a dataset of philanthropic capital flow that can be updated with minimal effort.
● Conducting research on standards and frameworks for measuring effectiveness in the Indian social impact and philanthropic sector.
● Assisting in data collection, web scraping, and documentation of findings.
● Writing research summaries, reports, and knowledge pieces.
● Engaging with sector experts and stakeholders as needed to refine research insights.
Eligibility & Required Skills
- Currently in the final year of undergraduate studies / or in a postgraduate degree in social sciences, public policy, economics, or anything related
- Strong research, writing, and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
- Proficiency in MS Office, and data analysis (R / Python preferred)
- Proficiency in basic computing skills, including data scraping and handling online datasets.
- Familiarity with social impact and philanthropy-related issues in India is preferred.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Experience with data visualization tools (preferred but not mandatory).
Stipend
The research interns at cSIP will get a stipend of rs. 10,000 PM.
Location
Preference to be in Delhi but remote or hybrid is possible
