Eligibility
Education & Experience
● Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Media Studies, Public Relations, Graphic Design, Marketing, or a related field.
● Minimum 2-4 years of experience in communications, content writing, social media management, and graphic design.
● Prior experience in non-profits, social impact organizations, or development communication is preferred.
● Strong portfolio demonstrating writing samples, social media content, and design work (such as reports, infographics, or marketing materials).
Technical Skills
● Proficiency in content writing, storytelling, and editing for various audiences.
● Strong graphic design skills with experience in Canva or similar software..
● Knowledge of social media platforms (Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook) and digital marketing strategies.
● Familiarity with social media management tools (such as Meta Business Suite) and engagement tracking.
● Basic understanding of SEO, analytics, and performance measurement tools (Google Analytics, social media insights, etc.).
● Ability to create infographics, illustrations, and branded templates to support communication efforts.
● Experience with video editing tools (InShot) is an added advantage
Soft Skills
● Strong storytelling and creative thinking skills.
● Excellent written and verbal communication in English (Hindi proficiency is an advantage).
● Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
● Proactive, self-motivated, and able to work independently as well as in a team environment.
● A keen eye for detail, accuracy, and brand consistency.
● Passion for social justice, youth development, and community engagement.
Salary
The salary of Communication Officer at Development Consortium will be between Rs. 35,000 to 40,000 PM.
