Education Initiatives (EI) is looking for dynamic and enthusiastic individuals with rpior experience in educational research to engage as Research Associates for qualitative research activities of Ennum Ezuthum, a flagship programme of the Govt of Tamil Nadu.

About the Position
As a Research Associate, the incumbent will be responsible for visiting the samples schools, interacting with headmasters and teachers, conducting in-depth classroom observations, performing in-depth interviews and document analysis, write detailed observation notes, and digitize data at the end of each day.
Requirements
- Before the assignment, the Ei team will provide a four to five-day comprehensive training.
- Selection of RAs will be at the end of Ei’s training based on the understanding and performance of the candidate in training.
- Strong hold on Tamil and English language is a must.
- Candidates who are/have lived/worked in Tamil Nadu are will be preferred.

Responsibilities
- Visiting assigned government primary schools in the given district using public conveyance.
- Conducting descriptive classroom observation, in-depth interviews and document analysis with teachers.
- Conducting in-depth interviews, shadowing document-analysis and collect qualitative notes with government officials.
- Digitizing classroom observation data and on-ground observation notes.
- Taking photos/videos as applicable (e.g. of documents and classrooms), and audio recordings of all interviews.
- Ensuring 100% of the recordings, reports, and documents are sent to Ei by the end of the day.
- Actively contributing to the daily reflection call held by Ei.
- Ensuring to meeting 100% deliverables within the given deadlines for project completion.
Compensation
Rs. 1500-2500 per day (based on candidate’s experience). Ei will reimburse food, travel, and accommodation expenses as per the company policy. On successful completion of the assignment, RAs will be awarded with Engagement Certificate from Ei.
