The Gandhi Fellowship Program is designed to provide youth with the opportunity for personal transformation through self-discovery and thereby, contribute to the causes surrounding them. It creates a legitimate space for young people to engage with social issues in a real manner and devote their energies to bringing about school change through their tenure and effectively leading complex public systems in the future.

Eligibility Criteria
- The Applicant’s age should be less than 26 years as of 2nd Oct 2023.
- The Applicant should be a Graduate, or final year student of UG/PG & completed in July 2024.
- The Applicant should have at least an average of 55% in academics.
- No applicant will be given any leaves during the fellowship for preparatory or final semester exams.
- Gandhi Fellowship is a full-time commitment and all selected applicants will have to join the fellowship by August 2024.
- Sensitive towards the pressing problems of the nation
Gandhi Fellowship Selection Process
The selection process for the Gandhi Fellowship involves:
Stage I- Registration and Application Form
Stage II- 1st round of Interview (Virtual Mode)
Stage III- Final round of interviews (In-person interview/ interaction)
Stipend and Other Benefits
The stipend of the Gandhi Fellowship is:
- A stipend of Rs 24,000 (taxable),
- A fixed monthly phone allowance of Rs 600 (taxable) and
- Rent-free accommodation, transport, and other allowances as applicable based on the need to support the fruition of ideas of the fellows post-fellowship
The basic grant of Rs 14,000 divided into:
- Basic monthly sustenance of Rs 7000 (pre-tax) and
- Interest-free reserve amount of Rs 1,61,000 cumulated from the remaining Rs 7000. The cumulative reserve amount will be paid at the end of the term and the successful completion of the fellowship after a period of 23 months.
This cumulative grant supports the Gandhi Fellowship graduates to kickstart their choices of a social enterprise individually or collaboratively with other fellows, international learning exposure, or specialized higher studies in line with their aspirations.
