Govt. of Assam is inviting application from candidates of diverse background to apply for its CM Fellowship. The applications for CM fellows are invited under Chief Minister’s Atmanirbhar Asom Abhijan program (CMAAA).
About CMAAA Programme
CMAAA is a visionary initiative aimed at incubating entrepreneurship skills among the educated youth of Assam. This is the first ever attempt to make the rural youth to develop their projects investible by the Financial Institutions. The fellows will be able to work closely with the Government of Assam under personal guidance of Chief Minister of Assam and senior leadership of the Government.

Eligibility
- The applicants should have MBA/ MBA equivalent degree/ Masters in Social Sciences/ Public Policy/ Development Studies with meritorious record or appearing in the final year of the degree (2023-24) from reputed universities/ institutions.
- Applicants should have a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent CGPA, having passion for public service and programme management.
- Students from premier institutions like IIN/IIT/IRMA/TISS/NIRD etc are preferred.
- Fresh Graduates/ Students in the final year are encouraged to apply
- Those who have experience working in MNCs/ International Organizations etc. with interest in working in social sector intending to take a sabbatical are welcome to the fellowship.
Language and Computer Skills
- Applicants must be fluent in English an Hindi with good communication skills.
- Knowledge of local language gets extra weightage
- Candidates should also have adequate knowledge of computer applications which will help them in completing their tasks
Nature of the Programme
- Their Posting will be in district and sub divisional headquarters.
- The fellows will be placed across Assam and they are required to work with the Office of the Chief Minister, Assam and other departments in Assam Secretariat. Also, they will closely collaborate with District Commissioner and field offices of Industries, Commerce & Public Enterprise Department and other line departments depending on the schematic requirement.
- They will work with multiple stakeholders such as technical resources such as Universities/Research Stations, etc., Financial Institutions such as NABARD, NEDFI, Banks, progressive farmers, successful local entrepreneurs, startups, etc.
- The performance of CM fellows will be evaluated half yearly on mutually agreed Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). Subsequent continuation of fellowship will depend on the evaluation.
- On successful completion of the fellowship, the candidate shall be awarded a Diploma Certificate issued by a reputed university of Assam apart from an Experience Certificate personally signed by 3 Chief Minister Assam.
- The best among the CM fellows will be considered for special award/incentive and the same shall be announced at appropriate time.
Fellowship Duration- 24 Months

- The Shortlisted candidates will be called for a group discussion and interview and will go through the subsequent orientation programme before starting work on their actual assignment.
Remuneration and Benefits
The selected fellows will be offered an annual remuneration of Rs 6 Lakh (inclusive of Rs 96,000 for travelling expenses) for the first year and Rs 6.6 Lakh (inclusive of Rs 1.08 lakh for travelling expenses) for the second year.
