Guild Capital is venture capital firm hiring for Associate. Guild capital aim is to become the trusted partner of our portfolio companies by actively supporting them in developing high-growth strategies, architecting high-performance teams and raising capital.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Actively source and diligence investment opportunities, based on Guild’s investment thesis
- Build financial models through analysis of market, business model, management quality and business traction
- Support deal execution through creation of investor materials
- Actively monitor portfolio companies including financial and operating performance, provide strategic value-add in and formulate exit strategies
- Prepare and periodically update key performance indicator (KPIs) dashboards for existing portfolio companies and potential opportunities. These dashboards are shared with the investment team and portfolio companies
- Assist the investment team with building financial models, drafting LP decks and conducting due diligence (including financial due diligence) of potential opportunities
- Perform ad-hoc data analysis for portfolio companies
- Act as the central point of contact for portfolio companies on all KPI related requests
Role Requirements
- Strong interpersonal skills and excellent written and oral communication
- Disciplined and data-driven in approach to business decisions, with strong attention to detail
- High level proficiency in MS Excel, Powerpoint etc
- Ability to execute from ideation to implementation with limited direction
- Team player with an ability to work effectively in small groups
Background
- Must be a qualified Chartered Accountant, preferably cleared all three levels in the first attempt
- 2-6 years of relevant post qualification work experience in Investment Banks and/or Big 4 and/or Corporate Finance roles
- Good understanding of Corporate Finance and experience in dealing with large data sets
