I-Saksham Education and Learning Foundation is seeking a candidate for the role of Researcher. The individual will going to be responsible for Research, Data Analysis, Reporting, and Documentation.
About I-Saksham
i-Saksham was co-founded in 2015 by ex-Prime Minister’s Rural Development Fellows to build local young women as ‘Leaders of Change’ through education (edu-leaders) in disadvantaged geographies like Bihar. The objective is to build a grassroots movement of change agents to shift a typical trajectory of young women away from dropping out of higher education, early marriage, and limited public life.
About Researcher
The Researcher will conduct periodic short-research studies on themes related to voice and
decision-making by young women, parental support, and social norms in the rural context of Bihar.

Eligibility Criteria
- Essential Education and Experience: Candidates must hold a Master’s degree in Social
Sciences, Education, Gender Studies, or a related field, with at least 2 years of relevant
research experience. - Desirable: An M.Phil/ Ph.d or a degree in research
- Research Skills: Proficient in research methodologies, data collection, and analysis.
Familiarity with Microsoft Excel, SPSS, NVivo, or similar software is a plus. - Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Should be a problem-solver in head, heart, and hand with a proven ability to work independently and coordinate in teams.
- Cultural Sensitivity: Understanding of and respect for the socio-cultural context of rural
Bihar.
