ICRIER is seeking candidates for the post of Research Associate for its Climate Change, Urbanization and Sustainability team.

Position: Research Associate
Key Responsibilities
- Research & Knowledge Generation: Assist in data collection, cleaning, and analysis across various climate change, energy, and environmental projects. Contribute to primary and secondary research, and document findings in reports, policy briefs, and academic articles.
- Stakeholder Management: Regular interaction and networking with stakeholders, managing communications, and supporting client management.
- Project Management: Assist in organizing events, stakeholder meetings, and dissemination activities related to the project.
Job Requirements
- Educational Background: MA/MSc in Economics, Statistics, or related fields from a reputable university. Fresh graduates with high CGPA and relevant internships are encouraged to apply.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in STATA, R, or Python is essential. Experience with GTAP models, econometric/statistical modeling, and handling large datasets (ASI, NSSO, Census) is required.
- Other Skills: Excellent research, writing, and programming skills. Willingness to travel for surveys and stakeholder engagements.
Preferred Experience:
- 0-2 years in policy research, with a focus on climate change, urbanization, or sustainability.
- Experience with large economic or energy systems models is a plus.
