Position: Research Associate
Key Responsibilities
- Research & Knowledge Generation: Assist in data collection, cleaning, and analysis across various climate change, energy, and environmental projects. Contribute to primary and secondary research, and document findings in reports, policy briefs, and academic articles.
- Stakeholder Management: Regular interaction and networking with stakeholders, managing communications, and supporting client management.
- Project Management: Assist in organizing events, stakeholder meetings, and dissemination activities related to the project.
Job Requirements
Educational Background: MA/MSc in Economics, Statistics, or related fields with 2+ years of experience in policy research, or an M.Phil. from a reputed university.
Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in R or Stata is essential. Experience in econometric/statistical modeling, particularly optimization models, is required.
Data Handling: Experience with large-scale government datasets (ASI, NSSO, Census) is crucial.
Research & Writing: Strong research and writing capabilities are a must.
Project Delivery: Ability to manage multiple projects with minimal supervision.
Willingness to Travel: Ready to travel domestically and internationally for surveys, stakeholder meetings, and other engagements.
