India Climate Collaborative is seeking candidates to hire on the role of Associate- India Climate Leaders (ICL). About Organization
The India Climate Collaborative (ICC), registered as ‘Council of Philanthropies for Climate Action’ (CPCA), is a collective working to identify critical sectors that need investment, drive funding towards climate solutions, and enable private and corporate philanthropy to engage more effectively with climate action. We work closely with the climate ecosystem, including research organizations, implementers, government stakeholders, businesses, and more, as well as engage with our domestic and international donor base to ensure that funding flows towards high-impact climate solutions. We were founded by some of India’s pre-eminent corporate and philanthropic leaders, including Rohini Nilekani, Ratan Tata, Anand Mahindra, Nadir Godrej, and others.
The India Climate Leaders (ICL)
This vertical is aimed at engaging with high net-worth individuals in India to build and empower a set of climate leaders who can take ownership of this mandate keeping in mind India’s ambitious climate targets and development priorities, and champion the urgency to accelerate climate funding and action.
Over the next 5 years, with an urgent emphasis on the first 18 months, we will be working to engage with a select, strategically curated target set of donors to prime them for this climate leadership journey.
Responsibilities
The Associate – ICL will play a critical role in building on this foundation by working with the ICC team in engaging with philanthropists and business leaders in India helping them become India’s pioneering climate leaders. This position will also support all convenings, roundtables, workshops for ICL on an end-to-end basis as required. The key responsibilities of the hire are:
- Sector/ Market/ Opportunity Analysis Report
- Proposal Submission
- Project Planning and Execution Tracking
- Developing Solution Ideas/ Programs
Requirements
- Understanding climate change and/or passion for learning more about it.
- A minimum of 2-5 years of equivalent experience into donor engaging experience or client delivery
- Strong project planning skills to manage multiple timelines and deadlines.
- Outstanding interpersonal and relationship building skills and convening capabilities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to be both persuasive and attentive. Ability to convey a point of view in a concise and structured way, influence key stakeholders to action through storytelling and data.
- Ability to engage and collaborate with staff and partners across various cultures and backgrounds to achieve shared goals.
- Ability to work independently in a fast paced & dynamic environment.
- Demonstrated agility and adaptability in entrepreneurial, ambiguous, or changing environments.
