India Mental Health Observatory hiring 2 Research Associates for the location Pune, Maharashtra. The Keshav Desiraju India Mental Health Observatory is an open-access repository of data and information on mental health laws, policies, and services to promote evidence-based policy making and bridge systemic gaps for advancing mental health in India.
Required Qualifications & Skills
Essential
- Master’s degree in Social Sciences, Law, Public Health, Public Policy or allied disciplines
- At least 2 years’ work experience in the fields of mental health, public health, law and policy reform, social justice, and other allied fields.
- Strong research skills both in qualitative and quantitative techniques
- Proficiency in written English- academic and policy writing
Desirable
- Prior experience in communication, advocacy, and network building
- Proficiency in Hindi (Spoken and written)
Responsibilities
- Conduct research by collecting, collating, and analyzing existing data, metrics and information on the mental health system in India.
- Develop and disseminate research outputs and publications (annual reports, briefs, newsletters, white papers etc.)
- Develop and maintain the IMHO website and data platforms
- Develop linkages and coordinate with civil society organizations, policymakers, and other stakeholders as part of IMHO’s institutional mechanism for collaborative research.
- Organize consultations and dissemination events
