About the KHPT Program
KHPT is implementing a Nutrition programme along with Sphoorthi’s ‘Girl Leads Girl’ program in the Koppal and Yelaburga block of the Koppal district. Adolescence (10-19 years) is a critical period of development marked by several changes – bio-physiological and social, which also affect the development of gender-related attitudes and gender roles.
The Sphoorthi ‘Girl Leads Girl’ Empowerment Program was developed to address these specific outcomes for rural adolescent girls to reduce school drop-out, delay the age of marriage, prevent child marriages, and increase the nutrition levels among girls.
Qualification, Skills & Competencies
- Postgraduate/graduate in Social Work/Social Science /other relevant degree /minimum 2-3 years of experience in implementing health-related programs at the district/block level.
- Working experience in the region (south Karnataka) is desired.
- Fluency in written and spoken Kannada and Basic Knowledge of the English language is required.
- Knowledge and experience of working in Government systems.
- Good communication, leadership and facilitation skills.
- Willingness and ability to travel extensively in field areas of Koppal Taluk, Koppal district.
- Expertise in using MS Office and web-based information systems.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Lead Taluk level team and support in implementing activities as per committed work plan and monitor outcomes.
- Developing the implementation/meeting reports and presenting the project documents.
- Facilitating the adolescent collectivization process at the District, Cluster, and Village level in coordination with the District Program team
- Compiling summary documents, project status, evaluation report, and performance report in reference to the contracted policy.
- Developing and maintaining the detailed schedule including the project phases, and travel program. material management/procurement, installation, test and system acceptance.
- To develop key government partnerships and facilitate key stakeholder alignment at the district/taluka level.
- In coordination with the project team identify the potential organizations (NGOs, Trusts, etc) which can provide AGs a learning platform, online or otherwise.
- In addition to the capacity building of the staff, they need to support the adolescent learning officer to develop the material, modules, concepts, and field-level activities and assist the project team in the implementation process.
- Liasioning with district/taluka level government programs, stakeholders and community leaders.
- Identify and test the potential technological solutions for virtual learning Facilitating open schooling opportunities for the school dropout boys and girls.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the line manager.
Reporting to- DPM KHPT Koppal
Remuneration
The remuneration for the above positions will be fixed in line with internal policies and market standards which will be set based on qualifications, relevant experience, budget availability and interview performance.
