Internship Overview

About the Role

The intern should be a proficient translator to support the Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya
(KGBV) program by translating program modules and related documents into Gujarati, while
ensuring the preservation of the original message, tone, and emotional essence (Bhavanuvad).

Responsibilities

• Translate modules and content pieces from English/Hindi to Gujarati, ensuring emotional and contextual accuracy (Bhavanuvad).
• Deliver an average of 15–20 content pieces per month (estimated at ~2 hours per piece).
• Provide translation support for additional documents, presentations, or communication materials, as needed, for both internal teams and external stakeholders.
• Review and revise translated content in response to feedback to ensure linguistic accuracy and contextual alignment.
• Collaborate with various teams to maintain consistency in tone, messaging, and program goals.

Eligibility

• Native proficiency in Gujarati, with strong reading, writing, and speaking skills in Gujarati, Hindi, and English.
• Deep understanding of cultural context and local nuances relevant to the target audience.
• Prior experience in translation work (English/Hindi to Gujarati and vice versa) is preferred.
• Attention to detail, sensitivity to tone and meaning, and the ability to work with feedback are essential.
