Maharashtra Pollution Control Board hiring Climate Finance Expert and Project Consultant

Maharashtra Pollution Control Board is inviting applications from the eligible candidates to fill the post of Climate Finance Expert and Project Consultant in the newly created “State Climate Action Cell” under the Environment and Climate Change Department Government of Maharashtra on purely contractual basis.

Climate Finance Expert01a. Master’s degree in economics/ finance or equivalent from recognized university.
Preference will be given to candidate having specialization in climate finance, research experience, published papers, familiarity with carbon pricing mechanisms, emission trading systems, financial analysis and risk assessment, economic valuation methodologies for climate-related projects etc.
b. Should have minimum 3 years of relevant experience
c. Roles and responsibilities of the said post shall remain as Annexure-1 attached.

Project Consultant/ Officer01a. Master’s degree or equivalent in at least one of the following subjects from a recognized university

2. Environmental Science
3. Ecology
4. Biodiversity
5. Chemistry
6. Climate Change

b. Should have minimum 2 years of relevant experience
c. Roles and responsibilities of the said post shall remain as Annexure-1 attached
Rs. 75,000/- (Rs. Seventy five thousand only)

Requirements

  1. The candidate should be a citizen domicile in the state of Maharashtra.
  2. He / she should be able to read, write and speak in fluent Marathi language.
  3. Adequate knowledge of Hindi and English language is essential.
  4. Proficiency in computer knowledge is essential.
  5. The applicant should be willing to travel throughout the State of Maharashtra as and when required since the scope of this project is in the entire state.
  6. Age limit: Should not be more than 40 years as on 31st December 2023.
