Museum of Solutions is seeking talented, passionate, and skilled candidate for the role of Photography Facilitator. It is believed that the candidate must have the art and science of photography to children aged 8 to 14. The facilitator will be responsible for designing and delivering engaging photography workshops, introducing children to the art and science of photography, and fostering their creativity.

About the role:

The Museum of Solutions is looking for a passionate and skilled Photography Facilitator to facilitate the art and science of photography to children aged 8 to 14. The facilitator will be responsible for designing and delivering engaging photography workshops, introducing children to the art and science of photography, and fostering their creativity.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Workshop Facilitation:

O Teach children fundamental photography concepts, such as composition, lighting. and camera operation.

O Organize and supervise photography activities, including field trips and practical exercises within the museum.

O Provide hands-on guidance and assistance to children as they explore photography techniques.

O Encourage creativity and self-expression through photography projects.

Photography Studio Management

O Create and manage inventory for supplies in the photo studio, conduct regular audit of supplies and place purchase requirements to Lead Maker on a weekly/monthly basis

O Conduct regular equipment audits and ensure safe operation and maintenance of equipment in the studio.

O Ensure that all activities adhere to safety guidelines and regulations.

O Maintain a safe and organized photography studio, ensuring adherence to all safety protocols and guidelines.

O Manage and oversee opening/ closing of the studio and set up and clean up

Workshop Development

O Assist in creating new photography workshops and courses that align with Muso’s learning outcomes and cater to diverse age groups and skill levels

Monitoring and Evaluation

O Monitor and evaluate effectiveness of programs and their implementation and provide feedback reports to the program design team.

Capacity Development

O Attend regular in-house training sessions to upskill on visitor engagement techniques

O Stay updated on the various trends and best practices in informal learning spaces, facilitator training, attend conferences and professional development opportunities.

Key Skills and Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in any field – Art, Photography, Architecture, Design, Filmmaking or any related field

Experience: Proven experience of teaching photography, conducting workshops and activities. Experience in working with children is preferred.

Technical Proficiency: Profound experience and knowledge of photography techniques, tools and equipment and their safe handling.

Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills (English and Hindi) to interact effectively with children, families, school groups, and colleagues.

Team Collaboration: Ability to collaborate within a multidisciplinary team, share creative ideas, and actively participate in planning and brainstorming sessions.

Weekend work: Willingness to work on weekends. Weekly offs in lieu will be provided.

Abilities and Competencies:

Child-Centric Approach: Understanding of child development, with the ability to tailor workshops and activities to different age groups while fostering a safe and inclusive environment.

Technical Expertise and Guidance: Demonstrate expertise in photography and use of photographic equipment, guiding participants effectively, and facilitating their understanding of technical concepts.

Adaptability: Ability to adapt workshops and activities to suit different age groups and skill levels, creating an inclusive and engaging experience for all participants.

Problem-Solving: Proficiently troubleshoot technical issues during workshops, demonstrating quick and effective problem-solving skills to ensure seamless activities.

Innovation and Creativity: Bring fresh perspectives and innovative ideas to woodworking workshops, igniting curiosity and fostering a dynamic learning environment.

Visitor Engagement: Ability to engage participants through interactive and captivating facilitation techniques, enhancing the experience for children, families, and groups.

Safety Protocols: Manage inventory, conduct regular equipment audits, and ensure the safety of participants by following and enforcing safety protocols. Create a secure environment for exploration

Organization and Time Management: Efficiently manage time to conduct workshops, handle administrative tasks, and ensure the smooth operation of electronics, robotics, and rapid prototyping studios. Maintain well-organized inventory and supplies.

Salary Range:

Up to INR 3.00 LPA (Salary will be determined after completion of interview subject to work experience)
