The National Human Rights Commission is inviting applications for its short term online internship program.

About the NHRC Online Internship Program

The aim of the NHRC Online Internship Program is to promote human rights literacy and awareness. This internship program is for the month August 2024. It is a two week online internship program which will commence from 5th August to 16th August 2024.

Eligibility Criteria

  • The eligibility and selection criteria will be as follows-
  • Students studying in 3rd year and onwards of any integrated 5 year PG Course
  • Students studying in 3rd/ final year of a graduation course
  • Students of any semester/ year of any post-graduate degree course (also applicable to the students in three year LLB programme)
  • Students of any semester/ year of any post-graduate diploma course
  • Students who are research scholars in any stream
  • Students must have attend a minimum of 60% marks in Class XII and all subsequent years in attended degree.
  • Students should not be more than 28 years old as on 1st July 2024.

NHRC Internship Duration

NHRC internship duration is a short term internship of two weeks from 5th August to 16th August 2024.

NHRC Internship Program Details

  • It is a full time internship program from 10 AM to 5:30 PM (Monday to Friday).
  • There will be about 45 – 50 sessions on various human rights issues will be covered.
  • Students who have research potential in human rights areas will be preferred.

NHRC Application Deadline

The last date to apply for the NHRC Internship Program is 21st July 2024.

Application Procedure

  1. Statement of Purpose- A 250 words write-up on topic “Statement of Purpose for joining NHRC Online Short Term Internship” will be required to be submitted by the applicants online along with the application form.
  2. Include all the relevant details of co-curricular activities, moot courts, internships, research projects for strengthening their application.
  3. Enclose self-attested scanned copies of mark-sheet from 10th standard onwards and mark-sheet of each year/semester of graduation & presently pursuing course and letter of recommendation (LOR) by concerned HOD/ Dean/ Principal which should be of a date subsequent to the date of uploading of this advertisement.
  4. In absence of following, the applications are liable to be rejected.
    • a. Scanned Self attested mark-sheets of 12th Standard, All Semesters of Graduation Course & marks sheets of all semesters of Pursuing Course.
    • b. Scanned Statement of Purposes (SOPs) and
    • c. Scanned Recommendation letter/email by HOD/Dean/Principal concerned in the annexed Proforma.
