Centre for Mental Health Law & Policy is jointly implementing Outlive’s Youth Advocacy for Suicide Prevention (YASP) Fellowship. Outlive’s YASP Fellowship will train and mentor 10 youth advocates to design and implement their own advocacy plan to engage with policymakers on youth suicide prevention. Outlive is a suicide prevention programme for young people aged 18-24 years living in Delhi, Mumbai and Pune. We work with young people who are facing difficult life situations, have thoughts of suicide or want to work on youth suicide prevention.
What the fellowship Offers?
- Foundational training on youth advocacy for suicide preention
- Develop skills to advocate for youth suicide prevention with community members and policy makers
- Individual mentorship from experts working in mental health & suicide prevention
- Design and implement an advocacy plan to engage with policymakers on youth suicide prevention
Eligibility
- Youth between 18 to 24 years of age
- Based out of Delhi, Mumbai, or Pune
- Passionate about youth suicide prevention and advocacy
Selection Process
Stage I- Submission of online application form
Stage II- Online panel interview of shortlisted candidates
Stage III- Onboarding of selected candidates

It is a one year fellowship: Feb 2023 to Feb 2024
