SBI Foundation is seeking an Assistant Manager for the program Education. The individual in this position will focus on conceptualizing new initiatives and evaluating proposals received for contributing to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The selected individual will play a key role in SBI Foundation’s contribution to the implementation of the United Nations 2030 Agenda.

Education Qualifications
- Master’s degree or equivalent in public policy, social sciences, or related areas with a specialization in the field of education, working with children, pedagogy & teaching, etc.
- Minimum 1 (preferably 2 or more) years of experience in managing CSR projects in the field of Education.
- Strong understanding of development issues, regulations, and best practices.
Responsibilities
As part of the team, the person in this position will be responsible for the following:
- Providing support in developing new programs, implementing and evaluating assigned programs, etc.; identifying problems and issues to be addressed and initiating corrective actions; liaising with relevant parties; ensuring follow-up action
- Providing support for planning, budgeting, review of schedule timelines, SPOC for issue management, onsite-offsite coordination and communicating innovative ideas/changes for program management/development activities.
- Monitoring, evaluating and reporting on programs assigned to the incumbent, including reporting to partners/funders.
- Providing support in organizing and preparing written outputs, e.g. draft background papers, analysis, sections of reports and studies, inputs to publications, etc.
- Coordinating with the Marketing & Communications team at SBI Foundation for outreach and communication activities to raise awareness about, and widely disseminate, outputs and findings resulting from the assigned programs
- Supporting the team in organizing seminars/ roundtables/ workshops

Requirements
- Excellent communication skills and writing skills
- Experienced in developing concept notes and writing proposals
- Proficient in formal communication, tailors language, tone, style and format to match audience’s
- Computer literate in standard software applications (such as MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Excel, Google Docs, Google Sheets, Google Slides etc.)
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Go-getter and self-starter with sound judgment and problem-solving skills
- Creative problem solver with a rigorous approach and an aptitude for quantitative analysis
Preferred Qualities
- Speaks and writes clearly and effectively; listens to others, correctly interprets messages from others and responds appropriately; asks questions to clarify, and exhibits interest in having two-way communication
- Demonstrate initiative to solve unstructured problems with little oversight, high energy, innovation and a positive attitude
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with flexibility, efficiency and enthusiasm, both individually and as part of a team.
- Strong understanding of the development sector and related rules and regulations.

Salary
The salary of Assistant Manager will range between Rs. 6 LPA to Rs. 7 LPA.
