About the Role
The Climate Insights Unit prioritizes policy-driven research, focusing on the interplay of emerging technologies, policy frameworks, and market dynamics to foster the adoption of low-carbon technologies in India. Our work emphasizes evaluating technological advancements and policy developments to shape an ecosystem conducive to sustainable, economic, ecological, and socially equitable growth.
The role of research assistant involves engaging in comprehensive research activities, assisting in data collection, analysis, and the preparation of reports. The ideal candidate should be deeply committed to addressing climate change issues and eager to work collaboratively with both internal and external stakeholders to contribute to the unit’s research efforts. Selection Criteria
Qualification and Work Experience
- Postgraduate degree or equivalent in public policy, economics, or related stream from a premium university / institute.
- 0 – 2 years of relevant research experience in the areas of energy, environment, sustainable development, and climate mitigation is essential.
- Knowledge of energy policies, regulations, and programmes at international, national, state and city levels.
- Prior experience designing research projects, undertaking data collection and analysis, facilitating consultations, managing researchers, and publishing research outputs.
- Extensive experience with a variety of quantitative and qualitative research methods.
- Proficiency with statistical and research tools like SPSS, R, and Python.
