TERI is seeking candidate for the role of Consultant- Technical Expert: Nano Characterization. This job is for the location Bhatinda, Punjab.
About TERI
The Energy and Resources Institute is a research institute in New Delhi that specializes in the fields of energy, environment and sustainable development. Established in 1974, it was formerly known as the Tata Energy Research Institute.
Responsibility
- The applicant would be working primarily on characterization of a variety of nanomaterials using multiple techniques including.
- Hands on experience in operation and data collection/analysis of techniques like DLS, FTIR, UV-Vis, XRD, XRF, BET, TEM, and SEM.
- Skilled in sample preparation for the said techniques, and handling reagents as per various
safety protocols - Timely completion of project objectives as per approved work plan
- Analysis and compilation of results and writing reports (project summary, scientific papers, policy briefs, opinion pieces, etc) in a time bound manner
- Any other work assigned by the supervisor
- Ability to work individually as well as in a team

Qualifications
B.Sc./M.Sc. in Nanotechnology/Physics/Chemistry or relevant discipline
Skills
- Skilled in handling reagents as per the safety protocols
- Skilled in stock and sample preparation for wet lab related activities
- Hands on experience in using instruments like Dynamic Light Scattering, Spectrophotometer, Kjeldahl apparatus by using protocols of DBT, NIST and FCO
- Analysis and compilation of results and writing reports
- Any other work assigned by the supervisor
