TERI hiring Research Associate (Consultant): Apply before 15 November 2024

TERI is seeking a dynamic and talented Research Associate with a background in environmental science, climate adaptation, or ecosystem services valuation to join our policy research team.

About the Role

The selected candidate will actively contribute to ongoing projects on sustainable agri-food systems and indigenous knowledge systems. This role will involve working collaboratively with TERI’s team of experts and researchers to support research activities, data collection, report writing, and policy advocacy, as well as to foster stakeholder engagement and capacity building.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct research and data analysis on sustainable agricultural practices, ecosystem services valuation, and indigenous knowledge systems.
  • Support the design and execution of project activities aimed at indigenous knowledge in enhancing climate adaptation and resilience, and sustainable agricultural and food systems.
  • Collaborate with team members to carry out field studies, interviews, and workshops to gather data on indigenous knowledge and practices in climate change adaptation and resilience building, and sustainable agricultural and food systems.
  • Contribute to the preparation of research proposals, writing reports, policy briefs, and technical documents for submission to TERI’s internal review committees and external stakeholders.
  • Engage with key stakeholders, including CSOs, community-based organizations, industry leaders, government officials, and academicians.
  • Assist in organizing stakeholder workshops and seminars.

Qualifications

A Master’s degree (or equivalent) in environmental science and policy/ agriculture/ climate adaptation/ ecosystem services, or related fields.

Experience

3-5 years of relevant work experience in environmental sustainability, agriculture, ecosystem services, or a related field.

Skills

  • Specialization/experience in environmental science and policy/ agriculture/ climate adaptation/ ecosystem services
  • Experience in data collection, analysis, and reporting.

Duration– 1 Year (Contractual)

Deadline– 15th November 2024
