About Urban Planning Associate Role
The Urban Planning Associate role entails support with activities to develop climate action strategies in our project cities, including desk and field research, GIS analysis and report writing. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in urban planning, with a particular focus on climate change, possess strong GIS and writing skills and a keen interest in solving problems in cities.

Requirements
- Master’s degree in the field of urban planning, environment or climate science, or a related field.
- 0-2 years of relevant work experience working on issues of climate change and cities, including academic or internship experience.
- Proficiency in GIS software (e.g., ArcGIS, Google Earth Engine, QGIS) for spatial analysis and mapping. Strong writing and communication skills, with the ability to synthesize complex ideas into clear, actionable reports and presentations.
- Knowledge of climate change mitigation and adaptation strategies, urban resilience, and sustainability issues.
- Willingness to engage in both desk-based research and fieldwork.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team and adapt to evolving project needs.

- While this role is remote, priority will be given to candidates who are fluent in Marathi and based in Maharashtra.
