Wipro Foundation is inviting applications for the position of “Program Officer-Ecology” at Wipro Foundation in Bengaluru. Applicants must have a minimum of 10 years of proven experience in developing, managing and monitoring environmental projects.

Wipro foundation represents the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives of WIPRO Limited with focus on the domains of Education, Health, Ecology, and Disaster Response.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and undertake due diligence of NGOs specialized in implementing biodiversity. watershed management or climate action projects.
- Foster partnerships with credible NGOs in implementing environmental projects that bring tangible benefits to underprivileged communities.
- Manage and evaluate ongoing environmental projects, and ensure adherence to timelines, budgetary constraints and set goals.
- Regularly review project status and fund utilization data submitted by partners and provide suitable, constructive feedback, if any.
- Compile, analyze and share all project related inputs and outcomes for Management meetings, Annual Reports, ESG and CSR reporting.
- Travel across India, as necessary, to oversee and support project implementation and partnership development.
- Coordinate with internal Finance and Operations Teams on data verification.
- Provide necessary support to the internal and external communication teams.
- Perform other relevant duties as assigned by the leadership.

Experience
- A minimum of 10 years of proven experience in developing, managing and monitoring environmental projects
- Experience in working with NGOs and government stakeholders
- Proficiency in project management, fund management, and reporting
- Experience in managing third party validation of projects and/or impact assessment of environmental projects
- Knowledge about NetZero initiatives, climate change policies, carbon sequestration methods, and carbon credits will be an added advantage.
Qualification
Master’s degree in environmental science, ecology or a related field
Employment Type
Initially on contract for 12 months
